Frontend Team Lead
As frontend team lead I am mainly responsible for:- people management (which not only implies working with people under my command, addressing their concerns, helping them grow, conducting 1:1 meetings, but also working through possible issues between different departments within the team backend, QA, UX, product, etc)- technical expertise and maintaining code quality through code reviews- mentoring junior employees- managing the workload within the teamAs a side activity I am responsible for biweekly Frontend Knowledge Sharing events. I find speakers, help them choose topics, do practice runs with them if needed and in general help them do great presentations that bring value to other developers in the company. Despite the pandemic during the last year we haven't had a single cancellation. Later some of the speakers went on to publish articles on their topics or do public talks on conferences, so overall I'm quite proud of this activity.I've also done a public talk myself:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z1U8LtQyVc&tab_channel=WrikeTechClub
Frontend Developer
I was part of the team that is responsible for two largest views in the product in terms of codebase and some of the most popular in terms of usage - Gantt Chart and Table View. These views are mostly tailored to the needs of high-level managers who make long-term plans for entire departments so high quality standards were maintained. That implied thorough code review, good unit-test coverage and fast response time in case there were any bugs that needed fixing.Features that I worked on with my team were named Release of the Year twice in a row.I single-handedly implemented highly-requested features, such as:- undo/redo (also prepared a talk for other team as part of the knowledge sharing process)- critical path calculation- gantt chart playground for marketing demos- series of features for creating Work breakdown structure- a widget for displaying, configuring and calculating project progress (the feature became so popular that later it was decided to support in different views of the product, so I also was responsible for that)I also occasionally wrote some backend code and automated tests in Java. For a period of time I was also responsible for helping our Product Manager processing the data from analytics and as part of my training did a course on Product Management. In general, I loved showing initiative, especially when it involved communicating with people outside of our team, which eventually played a role in me being appointed team lead.Other achievements:- 2nd place in the company Hackathon (added an Easter egg game to the product which received significant social media coverage)- Created a browser extension for Wrike users that still saves significant amount of time on loading- Enhanced internal tooling which resulted in all frontend developers save time on debugging unit tests
Frontend Developer
I was a Frontend Developer and worked on a series of projects:Tinkoff Credit Systems (https://www.tinkoff.ru/eng/) - largest online bank in the world.I was the lead frontend developer on a series of products that contained different forms for the end users or phone scripts for the bank employees. Some views were written in React, others in Angular. Development was done in very short timeframe and allowed the company to start running experiments, A/B tests and making money faster.AssetBook (http://assetbook.com/) - is a company that offers solutions for storing and presentation of financial data and investment reports. I was responsible for the frontend that was written with Aurelia.js framework and Redux for state management. Part of my job was also mentoring junior developers on frontend best practices.Main challenges were:- creating a library of reusable components (UI-kit)- displaying data with charts (Highcharts.js)- introducing best practices for writing modern Javascript code- refactoring large legacy codebaseNaava (https://www.naava.io/en/)I was part of the team that created a mobile app for controlling smart green walls.Big part of the job was data visualization and I used Chart.js and D3 libraries for that purpose. The app itself was created using Ionic 2 framework (based on Angular 2), the testing was done using Jasmine and Karma libraries.Andersen internal projectFull-stack application for loading, storing and processing of Excel reports with its own RESTful API and authentication mechanism. I was in charge of building both the server and the client. The app was built with React.js, Node.js, Express, JWT authentication and MongoDB.
Web Developer
I created and supported a website for a local business using Wordpress CMS and also wrote a bunch of custom plugins and templates using PHP, Javascript, jQuery and CSS.
