Location Scout / Manager
1: Provide production expense estimates and budget management ranging from $5K to $1.5 million.
2: Scout and implement logistics for chosen locations. Facilitate all department needs and requests for prep, day-of and wrap.
3: Source, review and approve logistic suppliers and plans.
4: Complete necessary PO’s and invoices for production company specifics.
5: Ability to work in high stress, noisy, fast paced environments without distraction.
6: Ability to work independently on projects with little supervision.
7:Direct, advise and guide location contacts throughout planning/execution of the filming process.
8: Negotiate contracts for all chosen locations and support locations.
9: Draft site plans/maps for specific department needs.
10: Permitting/Contracts for all Federal, State and local governments, local residents and businesses properties.
11: Complete specialty permits and licenses for, parking permits, coning & street clearance, road controls/closures and traffic management.
12: Source, review and liaison with location security for crowd control for crew and public safety.
13: Draft Technical parking plans for permitting, crew parking, base camp and unit management.
14: Source, review and approve location site protection & re-instatement/site cleanup.
15: OSHA-10 Certified: Implement safety procedures to comply with State/Federal health & safety regulations.
16: Source, review, with carting companies for site waste removal and clean up.
17: Source, review and liaison with vendors for lighting assignment/placement for general safety of crew and the general public.
18: Draft custom maps and directions for daily use by the film crew.
19: Compile weather reports, sunrise & sunset times, tide timetables per location needs.
20: Location specific equipment sourcing, planning and implementation.
21: Tents, marquees and catering Space sourcing, cost analysis and setup.
22: Transportation/Generator/HVAC equipment sourcing and hire and implementation.
