I am a strong advocate for the unique value the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce offers to the communities it serves. I have enjoyed leading or contributing to a wide variety of Chamber initiatives related to placemaking, member recognition, media relations and workforce attraction, retention and development.I enjoy a broad range of duties (brand management, public relations, video production, event planning and promotion) as the marketing manager at the Chamber. I have been in this position since 2015.Previously, I worked for Gannett for more than 19 years as a digital content manager, web developer, visual editor and graphic artist.I spent the first six years with Gannett designing advertisements for a variety of clients.The next seven years were spent in the newsroom of the Daily Herald. Initially hired as the newsroom's graphic artist (assigned to maps, informational graphics, features page design, illustrations and political cartoons), I moved into the role of Visual Editor and supervised the photography staff for several years as well as supervising a portion of the copy desk for about two years.Eventually, I moved into a digital developer role in which I was charged with maintenance and innovation on the four Gannett Central Wisconsin Media sites (www.wausaudailyherald.com, www.marshfieldnewsherald.com, www.stevenspointjournal.com, www.wisconsinrapidstribune.com) and the digital content manager for Wisconsinoutdoorfun.com for more than four years.
