Evansville, Indiana Area

Key responsibilities included developing an underground hauler strategy for six operating mines and expanding an in house rebuild facility to support the strategy. Additional responsibilities included maintenance process audits, development of process improvement plans, and governance.

Owensboro, Kentucky Area

Directed all aspects of the business for Freedom underground, Grand Eagle Surface, and Grand Eagle Preparation Plant. Seven direct reports including a Superintendent for each of the three operations, safety manager, engineering manager, finance manager, and permit manager. Complex employed approximately three hundred fifty people with annual sales in excess of sixty five million dollars and moved twenty eight million units (yards + tons) annually.

Responsible for all aspects of operation of Grand Eagle surface mine with involvement in new mine planning and company growth strategy. Implemented a “safety way of life” program that resulted in a three year run of no reportable injuries. Grand Eagle employed one hundred ten people and moved with sales in excess of thirty million per year.
