An extremely difficult and complex case and full range of knowledge was tested regularly.• On this case I prepared financial analysis to be included within a court remuneration application. This included a complex spreadsheet analysis of time costs, prepared specifically at the request of the court that was in an easy to read manner.• Secondment – Lloyds Banking Group Business Support Unit, Leeds (BSU) (06/10 – 03/11). Primarily assisting RMs with HBOS portfolio of clients (but also certain Lloyds clients) within BSU, including desk top business reviews for new clients to BSU (miniature IBRs). Good contacts obtained within Lloyds BSU, which have been retained since secondment completion.• Secondment – RBS Global Restructuring Group, Leeds (GRG) (05/14 – 01/15). Assisting 3 Relationship Managers and 3 Senior Relationship Managers with their respective portfolios. Accounts (annual and MI) assessment, input to strategy decisions, credit applications and technical insolvency advisor.

• Insolvency Management Team Job Controller, dealing primarily with compliance issues and managing a team of three senior associates and two associates, with a variety of work including Administrative Receiverships, Administrations and Liquidations (a portfolio of 40-45 cases at any given time). Sector experience has included retail, textiles, construction and manufacturing.• Finance Manager for UK Regional North, working closely with the Region’s Finance Director in ensuring that cash collection targets were met by the 15 Partners and Directors of UK Regional North. Annual collections target of c£25m.• Gained further experience with disputes analysis and investigations and transaction services advice. Forensic investigations relating to Directors’ disqualification, wrongful trading, misfeasance and transfers of assets at undervalue.• Case of note – The Parkside Group (Flexible Packaging) in which I experienced the effect of the EC Regulation on insolvency. I was the first IMT Manager to conclude both an administration and creditors’ voluntary liquidation of a company from another EC territory. This was the first ever foreign insolvency procedure over a Polish company and also the first time PwC had undertaken an “administration-light” procedure, whereby the company directors and staff remained in day to day control of a company in administration.• I worked exclusively with the joint administrators in order to sell the Parkside operations in Zlotow, Poland, ultimately selling the plant to Alcan Packaging Inc based in Canada for a sum in excess of £9m and securing all of the Polish employees’ jobs (150 workforce).• From 05/00 to 06/03 worked in the Leeds Delivery Team, managing seven trading receiverships and three trading administrations with responsibility for overseeing company trading, sale of business and assets, bank liaison and general matters.

• Involved in a specialists investigation in Albania, as part of a team of 12, engaged by the Albanian government, and financed by the World Bank, to investigate the collapse of 17 pyramid selling schemes, which occurred in Albania between late 1996 and early 1997.• In excess of $500m passed through the 17 pyramid schemes under investigation. Responsibilities included analysis of the nature of the assets that the monies were spent on, preparing an audit trail of the movement of monies globally (including dealings with National/International Banks) and concluding whether or not any monies could be recovered for the benefit of creditors.• Assisted in the closure of various company liquidations and receiverships as Trainee, including Lismona Wear Plc, a large textiles factory in Portadown, Northern Ireland (in excess of 50 staff and with turnover of £5m-£10m).• Provided with own portfolio of clients (approx 30) to progress to closure. The majority of these clients were creditors’ voluntary liquidations, however, a number of these cases were members’ voluntary liquidations, court liquidations and non-trading receiverships (by 1991).• Administered liquidation cases from commencement to completion, working directly with the senior managers and partners (by 1993).• Managed first trading receivership (in 1997) in the construction industry, involved in preparing the company for a company voluntary arrangement and assisting in the administrative receivership that followed the rejection of the voluntary arrangement. Duties included supervising trading for a period of six months, liaising with agents, creditors and the company’s bankers and taking commercial decisions to ensure that profitable results were achieved, under the direction of the partner in charge of the assignment.• In 1999, was promoted to Manager in the Belfast office, to manage a portfolio of approximately 25 clients with two junior members of staff.
