I have over 28 years of experience in fire and emergency services, currently serving as the Fire Chief for the City of Allen Fire Department (AFD). I hold a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas and have completed the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy.In my role, I've introduced practical training solutions, including a simulation platform that enhances our team's readiness and effectiveness. I am proud to be part of the AFD team that was instrumental during our city's COVID-19 response, organizing a large-scale vaccination effort that delivered over 100,000 vaccinations.Additionally, as a co-founder of the Boyd Family Foundation, I am dedicated to helping aspiring fire service professionals achieve their career goals. I also serve on various boards, focusing on improving community services and fostering engagement. My work is driven by a commitment to bettering public safety and supporting our team's professional growth, while engaging with our community.
