My areas of concentration and passions are: Enterprise Fiber Channel Storage (Symmetrix, CISCO MDS, etc), Mid-Tier'd SAN/NAS storage (CX4, Celerra, VNX File and Block, Isilon), mentoring and teaching Jr. level colleagues and customers. Also specialized in data migration efforts which involved many applications and operating systems. This included scripting/automating efforts in order to maintain efficiencies and meet timelines with customers.-Involved in several major customer implementations spanning several industries to include manufacturing, health care, banking and higher education. These implementations involved large migration projects, datacenter moves, and legacy retirements that involved coordination with many facets and members of the organization’s teams.-Involved and lead data migration efforts between several major storage vendors, server OS’s (VMware, Windows, AIX, and Linux). Used EMC VPLEX, Sancopy (VNX), EMC Open Replicator (VMAX/Symmetrix) and host based LVM migrations pending on application requirements.-Lead new implementations of EMC’s mid-tiered and enterprise product lines including VMAX, VPLEX, VNX and Isilon. Most projects revolved around virtualization hardware such as Cisco UCS and VMware or IBM AIX systems.-Acted as lead Solutions Architect on many projects to include several VNX and VMAX implementations. Worked with customers to provide maximum performance and scalability of their storage environments with the solutions that they purchased.

-Involved in a multitude of major projects to include major SAP storage migrations, NAS implementations, VMware implementations, Exchange Email rollouts (2007 & 2010), Datacenter Redesign, and capacity planning. Advised Sr. Management Team on every stage of the project, from the initial storage design, to final implementation.-Increased the Universities Storage Area Network from 200TB to 1.5PB of information residing on the following Storage Arrays:EMC DMX3-2500, DMX4-950EMC CLARiiON CX4-480, CX3-80, CX3-40.EMC Celerra NS-480 HP EVA 8000/8100/8400-Administered and maintained a dual fabric, multi-site Storage Area Network consisting of Cisco MDS 9509 and 9513 FC Directors shared with multiple VSANs and other University departments.

-Personally Responsible to conduct daily operation maintenance and design of CITES Storage Area Network.-Administered and configured multiple SAN devices and arrays to include: HP EVA 4000/5000/8000, Sun StorageTek 6140, NexSAN SataBlade, Brocade and Qlogic Switches.-Administered and configured multi-fabric / multi-operating system SAN to include FCIP.-Co-Administered campus wide backup server using IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and a multi terabyte tape library (IBM 3494 using 3590 and 3592 tape drives) to provide backups for campus enterprise level and contract systems. This included satisfying state level audit disaster recovery plans and also off site courier tape transfers.-Provided On Call 24/7/365 Support for Storage and Backup needs across many departments and campus units.-Responsible for working with service managers, database administrators, project managers, and application developers as a technical advisor on a number of projects that required SAN and backups connectivity.-Collaborated with other members of the Systems Management Group of CITES to determine policies and procedures to maintain highly reliable campus computing infrastructure.-Participated in several UNIX server configuration standardizations using psgconf.

-Responsible to conduct forensic analysis on several computer hardware platforms to include, Windows XP/NT/9X, Linux, and Apple to achieve evidence to support cases for prosecution for many State and Federal law enforcement agencies.-Used forensic analysis software and hardware to include ENCASE, FTK, iLook, SPADA, and several other tools to obtain trace evidence for computer crimes.-Maintained Unit server, storage and built forensic workstations for other investigators.

-Responsible for administration and support of over 400 UNIX servers in a 24/7 high availability data center environment. Redhat Linux, Sun Solaris, SGI IRIX, and HP HPUX.-Selected for multiple projects that significantly reduced costs for the company by implementing new hardware and monitoring tools. EMC San migration, SGI Lease shuffle project, SNMP and Syslog monitoring.-Mentored team members. Team of 5 people responsible for 24/7 operation and support.

-Performed quality HUMINT operations as a Badge and Credentialed U.S. Army Special Agent to include background investigations and force protection operations.-Provided quality control and analysis for a database containing former police forces and terrorist organizations in Bosnia.-Programmed and maintained HTML pages for a U.S. government intranet and provided expertise and training in a UNIX client server environment-Won several awards and accolades for supporting U.S. and other operational forces of many nations in Bosnia.-Performed detailed analysis of various intelligence products.-Supervised research projects and small-group analytical activities. -Maintained T/S SCI Clearance
