Screen new business applications, changes, and correspondence. Review eligibility guidelines to properly classify personal lines insurance risks. Verify rating information to assure proper premium classification. Refer cases needing underwriting review. Correct errors and fix new business information submitted incorrectly in system. Authorize and issue notices of cancellation and other appropriate form letters to customers. Make decisions as to when to order credit reports, MVRs, and secure additional risk or rating information as needed by contacting agents, managers, or policyholders. Respond to inquiries from agency force regarding eligibility, reinstatements, coverages and classifications. Make courtesy calls to agents to prevent policy rejections. Originated a plan to conduct follow-up after contacting the agent so policies could be rejected and not miss discovery; supervisor implemented the plan, and it was implemented state wide. Established a piece of work with a cross file attached needs to be cleared and more work could be processed without taking the time to review resulting in completing the project a month ahead of time.
