Manage all verification activities associated with the CS 2100/SL-100 switching system for TDM, Hybrid and VOIP solutions for Commercial and Federal markets. Develop verification strategies and project plans. Management of this group includes supervising all activities associated with internal and external customer trials involving the CS 2100/SL-100 switching system for both the Commercial and Federal markets. Responsible for working with trial engineers and customers to ensure trial entrance and exit criteria are identified prior to the start of the trial and that any issues identified during trial activities are satisfactorily resolved to the customer’s satisfaction in a timely manner.

Senior Verification Engineer with the CS 2100/SL-100 product. Responsibilities included requirements analysis of a new product, developing test plans and test cases, setup of the test environment, executing automated and manual test cases, and reporting test results in weekly project meetings. Responsible for reviewing and evaluating the test plans and test cases developed by other members of the group and mentoring less experienced engineers on the CS 2100/SL-100 product. I was also the main reviewer of the feature documentation that was developed by our design group and the ISO prime for the verification department.

Verification Engineer with the SL-100 product. Responsible for researching test requirements and identifying lab requirements associated with the products under test for both new feature and regression test areas with an emphasis on software upgrades and Defense Switching Network (Autovon) functionality. Creation and review of verification test plans and test cases. Attending High Level Design reviews and validating design test documentation. Generation of problem reports, tracking and retesting of issues found during verification activities and the validation of customer documentation related to feature functionality.

Telecommunications Consultant contracted to Bell Northern Research (Nortel)Develop verification test plans and test cases for the SL-100 product. Participate in High Level Design meetings. Provide recommendations to ensure customer requirements are achieved during design. Execute test cases to ensure quality product delivery to SL-100 customers. Maintain DBS TC/SRE databases with current test data. Work with design groups to resolve problems identified during testing.

Maintained, repaired, and tested Nortel Meridian SL-I00 switching system. Performed installation of telecommunications and data equipment both inside plant and on customer premises. Performed troubleshooting to locate defective instruments, lines, and circuits in a 15,000 line facility.

Supervised installation team on installing, rehabilitating, and modifying communications¬ electronics equipment at various locations worldwide. Managed personnel and material resources, implemented quality control measures and safety regulations. Responsible for daily activities related to the project and training of personnel.

Reviewed engineering packages, inventoried bill of materials, and trained apprentice installers. Laid, terminated, and tested signal and power cables. Installed equipment cabinets, cable ladders, and battery systems in Satellite, Microwave, and Telephone communications centers.

Supervised a staff of ten people in the repair, testing, and calibration of communications equipment. Responsible for maintaining repair parts, maintenance records, and the performance of preventive maintenance on vehicles, power generation equipment, and electronic test equipment. Ensured that all quality control measures were met.

Performed troubleshooting and repair of telephone and switchboard assemblies. Tested and repaired defective components and wiring with electronic measuring equipment, hand tools, and soldering equipment.
