Social Housing Regulation Review - Victorian Government - Responsible for researching and developing recommendations relating to the regulation of the tenant experience in social housing in Victoria. - Wrote sections of the review report relating to the tenant experience in social housing, the regulation of affordable housing and national social housing regulation.- Liaised with key stakeholders to obtain information valuable to the report.- Managed contractors to deliver input to the project.- Provided feedback on the work of others.- Managed the process for obtaining stakeholder feedback on key areas of the report.- Managed and wrote a consultation paper on the tenant experience and service delivery in social housing.

Responsible for leading a team of economic researchers to deliver a report on resource sector regulation. Took over the lead of the team after the delivery of the draft report, and was responsible for leading the project during the COVID-19 period. Key tasks included:- Providing feedback on drafts of report chapters.- Managing the wellbeing of staff during the COVID-19 period- Managing the budget for the study- Representing the Commission at meetings with key stakeholders.- Preparing briefings to be considered by the Commissioners.- Writing key pieces of the report.

Responsible for leading small teams of economic researchers to research and write reports on a wide range of topics, and develop policy recommendations for the Australian Government. Key areas of research included:Examining the compensation arrangements for war veterans who have suffered impairments as a result of their service, which included developing recommendations on reforms to the compensation system, and supervising work examining the health and wellbeing of veterans.- Investigating approaches to introduce competition and choice in human services, including leading work on developing policy recommendations for social housing, and examining the feasibility of competition and choice in a range of sectors including aged care and homelessness services.- Providing support for Treasury during the Jobkeeper review to develop support measures for the COVID recovery.- Leading a research project into small business access to finance.

Responsible for researching and writing reports across a vast array of economic and social topics. This work included:- Examining the scope for ongoing assistance to Australia’s automotive industry.- Examining approaches to estimate the cost competitiveness of Australia’s dairy industry, including developing new approaches to estimate cost competitiveness with limited data.- Investigating the access to monopoly infrastructure in Australia (such as railway lines) and writing chapters of the report relating to certification of access regimes.- Examining climate change mitigation approaches, including investigating approaches to estimate effective carbon prices in the United Kingdom and South Korea.- Examining climate change adaptation approaches in Australia, and developing policy recommendations to improve ways governments seek to adapt to climate change.- Developing recommendations to improve the regulation of the accountability of companies to their shareholders in relation to executive and director pay.
