Manage all aspects of human resources in this multifaceted College of Veterinary Medicine. Provide advice and counsel to the Dean and Associate Deans in matters related to human resources. Responsibilities encompass recruitment-related functions, compensation, classification, and management of all employee/labor relations and overseeing administrative staff. Work first-hand with confidential/sensitive employment-related issues while facilitating an environment promoting cohesiveness. Training, supporting and developing supervisors and employees in effective relations is paramount. • Initiate cross-training programs within entire College, increasing customer satisfaction and operating efficiency.• Increase customer satisfaction above historical levels by developing a thorough knowledge of the five Academic Departments, The Lloyd Medical Center, The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, and polices by implementing a weekly review process to ensure a high level of service.• Improve hiring workflow procedures, thereby reducing time of fill by 15%. This increased departmental efficiency and enhanced the overall quality of recruitment.• Work with inter-departmental team to complete a new web based employee filing system implementation, reducing processing costs 8%.• Ensure efficient workflow by modifying procedures and simplified staff assignments. • Effectively train Executive and Cabinet Members (Leaders) of the College in underperforming areas of Recruitment and Organized Union Employee Relations. • Successfully create an electronic annual evaluation for Faculty and Staff that increased efficiency and provide a uniform process.
