In the volatile and ambiguous world of business, leaders often find themselves at a crossroads, yearning for success but grappling with uncertainty and a smoldering element of self-doubt. This situation often results in the underachievement of the desired levels of success and tirelessly taking on the many challenges of leading a business.During my 20+ years amidst the confusion, loneliness, and occasional streaks of enjoyment in business leadership roles (13+ as CEO), I experienced many frustrations and challenges, weathered storms to realize success, made mistakes, and learned valuable lessons. One of the most consistent sources of finding solutions, support, and understanding was through my network of trusted mentors and coaches. It was the one safe haven where vulnerability is not a weakness but a strength, and transparency is the key to unlocking personal and professional growth.I found that my resistance to engaging in these opportunities at the needed times resulted in being alone in a daily grind, relying on self-dialogue to address challenges, and missing critical opportunities for personal and business growth.Leveraging my (mostly tough)business leadership experiences and formal executive coaching training, I now focus on working with ambitious and humble leaders to support them in turning my "mess" into their "success". This work leverages the two most impactful approaches I have found to achieve that goal - peer advisory groups and individual executive "guiding". Both methods offer a partnership with business leaders that provides a safe, confidential, and challenging space to work through issues and opportunities. Clear insights generally emerge, leading to a more energizing job experience and a thriving business. Leaders are also supported in evolving into the best, most confident and capable versions of themselves. The peer advisory group provides leaders with monthly access to a proprietary advisory board of 10-12 other successful business leaders which is leveraged to creatively solve their problems and explore their opportunities for accelerated business performance. The executive "guiding" model creates the same growth environment and enables deep exploration for circumstances that tend to be more acute and challenging for your business or you as a leader. Before starting this work, I had a rewarding 25 year career in the medical device industry. Most recently, I served as CEO of Breg, Inc., for 13+ years, growing from a niche player to the #2 U.S. market position.
