Provides leadership, strategy, tactical planning and oversight as well as personnel management and coaching to the four Ministry Advancement Departments of the Major Gifts, Gift Planning, Foundations, and the Mid-Level Giving and serves as organizational lead on all capital campaign efforts. Works to integrate the activities of Ministry Advancement programs with all other activities within the Development Department and coordinates with other Navigator leaders to ensure all donor development programs are aligned with projects and programs outside Development.

• Created and Executed Family Policy Aliance's (formerly Focus on the Family Action) annual grassroots plans focused on engagement in federal, state, and local elections. Developed annual strategic plans to advance conservative candidates within targeted states and districts. Worked with Family Policy Council (FPC) Presidents to identify conservative candidates; oversaw statistical analysis and communications strategies. Responsible for raising a 2016 target budget of over $10 million for grassroots engagement by soliciting current and prospective major donors.Oversee all grassroots and political engagement on behalf of FPA.

• Lead seven-member Family Policy Councils (FPCs) Department Team, providing leadership and support for 38 State FPCs with combined budgets of $25 million and over 200 employees. Designed and oversaw a national strategy including voter registration initiatives, campaigns targeting specific elections, and a national grassroots strategy. Undertook initiatives designed to cost benefit all FPCs by implementing a “shared services” model that included migration to a common CRM platform, development of uniform business practices, and access to a “Professional Employment Organization” for insurance and HR cost reduction. Catalyst in moving FPCs to a proactive model. Directed Focus on the Family Action's voter communications through several election cycles• Through networking beyond the Evangelical political world, raised nearly $16 million in 501c4 contributions for Focus on the Family Action's election activity from 2010-2014. • In 2012-2014, spearheaded a national grassroots voter mobilization and communication plan. In 2014 alone, the campaign produced: 2.25 million voter mailers, 6.5 million mobile ads, 2+ million voter guides, and 4.7 million phone calls. Solicited funds to provide grants to FPCs to hire a total 85 Grassroots Field Directors responsible for managing and deploying over 4000 volunteers dedicated to mobilizing voters on Election Day.• Reduced costs for FPC-wide by identifying technology solutions related to data management. Oversaw the team that negotiated a 70% reduction in per unit cost from Blackbaud- Luminate CRM for FPC network-wide rollout.

• Represented Focus on the Family Founder Dr. James Dobson, by developing relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporations. Communicated the vision, mission and initiatives of Focus on the Family to major donors by informing them of on-going projects and serving as a resource for personal needs. Developed strong and lasting relationships by aligning donor passions with ministry initiatives. Key Achievements and Responsibilities• Oversaw major donor relationships in the Chicago-land region; the second highest income producing area for Focus at the time. Responsible for 150 + major donor relationships in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Colorado, and much of Florida. • Spoke on behalf of Dr. Dobson and Focus on the Family at various events • Helped organize and lead several major donor trips including elk hunting trips in Colorado, fishing trips in Alaska, father-son backpacking trips in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and family mission trips in Tijuana, Mexico• Co-lead a vision casting trip to Mexico City and Havana, Cuba for select major donors; successfully solicited a key donor participant who committed to underwrite the entire budget for the Spanish language version of a home and public school-based video series and training curriculum.
