I am currently working on the re-build of the $800m NZ International Convention Centre. 1 of 4 project managers I have been tasked with is the 'Spine Gallery', the connection point for all areas. The area has a high end finish, including several meeting rooms, 10 escalators, 5 lifts and a floating slab. I am also responsible for main commercial kitchen, reception and loading docks.Prior to that I completed a $54mil 196 unit apartment complex in central Auckland, consisting of a 13 storey and 4 storey building, a swimming pool, sauna and interconnecting podium area. Before working at Fletcher Construction I was a Project Manager for Haydn and Rollett Construction. I managed several projects in Auckland and Christchurch ranging in value from $4 to $13 million. I have completed a Masters in Construction Management (MCM) and recently completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Passing both with Distinction My background is as follows; I spent 4 years studying toward a Bachelor of Surveying Degree from the Otago University, Dunedin, NZ, before taking a permanent role at Cardno, Wellington, NZ. I spent 4 years there, gaining experience in the fields of topography, subdivision, high-rise setout, data management and job pricing/management and mentoring. I gained my Cadastral Surveying License in 2005.I then moved to Western Australia for 1.5 years where I took on the role of Project Surveyor working for Ertech. Ertech is a subcontractor specialising in earthworks and infrastructural construction. The role involved flying in and out of remote sites around Western Australia. Working 12 hour days, 7 days a week in 40°+ temperatures. Mine Sites have a strong Health and Safety culture, which I learned a lot from.In early 2009 I moved to London, England, where I worked for 3 years as a Site Engineer on an M25 road widening project. A £1b pound project, I was based in the Structures team. My main role was managing the Gantry construction from initial piling to gantry erection and was heavily involved in each step of the process. When this was completed I moved onto wall tie-ins to existing structures (bridges and piers), and various other concrete, steelwork and piling roles. This then leads back to my work in Auckland.
