I work as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse full-time and as an adjunct professor at Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences. I've worked in the medical field in some form since graduating high school in 2000. I worked as a medical assistant in a variety of settings, then moved into the field of physical therapy after graduating with my doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Utah. I worked in several settings such as in-patient neuro rehab and outpatient orthopedics. I worked as a clinic director for 2 clinics where I had both clinical and administrative duties. After years of working as a physical therapist, I transitioned into academics and began teaching at Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences. I continue teaching there in subjects such as Anatomy/Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Nursing courses.While teaching full-time at Joyce University, I enrolled as a nursing student. I graduated with my BSN in 2023 and began working as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Holy Cross Mountain Point Hospital. I am now working as a full-time ER nurse and an adjunct professor at Joyce University. I am also getting my Masters of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner at Western Governors University.I am excited to continue my education and use my experience and skills to help people achieve a higher quality of life.
