Building Career I have been 'on the tools' since the age of 16 and have over 35 years experience in the building and construction industry. I started my career working for Knox Building and Design - Hamish Knox being a very well known and talented builder in Eltham, Vic - Specializing in alternative styles of construction such as Mud Brick / Post and Beam homes using all manner of recycled timbers and other materials.In the late 90's I moved to Mansfield in NE Vic, and began working for 'Great Bear Log Homes', and spent a number of years building North American Log Homes.As well as working for other local builders, and doing my own projects.I have worked for 'Alpine Log and Timber Homes', an Australian business that imports their Log Structures from Canada. I had the opportunity to work overseas in Canada with their partner company 'Log Homes Canada', on some of the projects bound for Australia. Log Homes Canada use the best log building logs in the world - Western Red Cedar.I have also worked in New Zealand for 'Natural Log homes', based in the town of Geraldine in the South Island, they use Douglas Fir Logs for their projects.Military Career30 years service in the Australian Army Reserve Special Forces.Multiple deployments overseas.Hobbies / InterestsSkiing / Fly Fishing / Hunting / Motorcycles / Mountain Bike / Camping / Bushwalking / Hunting / Climbing
