Currently, I am the Director of Investments and Finance for Mimms Enterprises, as well as overseeing the property management team. Mimms is a fourth generation commercial real estate owner out of Roswell, GA. We have about 20 employees on staff and focus primarily in retail and industrial properties. I’ve been with Mimms for eighteen years starting out as their Director of Marketing, handling responsibilities from designing the company website and marketing materials to national advertising placement and public relations. Currently, my role consists of the acquisition and disposition of assets, exclusively in the retail shopping center and industrial sectors. Since 2008, I’ve handled over $760,000,000 in sales and acquisition transactions. I also manage the asset financing for the company, which consists primarily of new loan origination, refinancing and overall lender relationships. Being with Mimms for as long as I have, I’ve been fortunate to experience many different facets of the industry. For six years, I handled leasing and all renewals, which equated to about 90 transactions per year on a portfolio of roughly 5,000,000 square feet. It allowed me to meet face-to-face with the vast majority of our 500+ tenants, develop many different negotiating techniques, and most importantly understand how a tenant’s rent and commitment to the property plays such a vital role towards the value to not only one asset, but an entire portfolio.
