Senior Thermal / Structural Simulation Engineer
As part of Intel’s Silicon Photonics Products Division, I help to research and develop the emerging technology of silicon photonics, an innovation that incorporates a hybrid of electronic and optical components. Specifically, I perform many simulation tasks of the components as they go through the development process, such as creating 3D models of the products, simulating test conditions and validating in the experimental lab, performing steady-state thermal characterization and transient thermal response, analyzing die stress under thermal loading, analyzing solder joint reliability, and performing fluid analysis.
Package Development Engineer
I helped to develop new products and to provide customer support for existing products. This support included finite element analysis for the electronic packages, heatsink design, and passivation planarization studies, among other simulation tasks. I also supported the company in training for simulation software through collaborative work and presenting at several internal conferences. In 2016, I was awarded a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt through ON Semiconductor, through my creation of several programs to mitigate waste and non-value added time during the simulation process.

With the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative (FURI), my contribution to the project created a 3D digital model and tracked the real robot’s position in a computer, matching the digital model to it.
