As a nomadic traveler, I began my career in health and education living and working in remote communities in the Arctic, Micronesia, and Africa. After years of wandering, I landed in the nonprofit sector and discovered a place to hang my idealistic hat.  Through my work in international development, I was able to support people and nonprofits from over 20 countries and something was wrong…The social problems were massive in scale, and nonprofits were tiny in comparison.  There were more problems than people; more challenges than change.  Universally we needed a better social sector, a stronger solution.  After moving to the United States, I worked together with youth development agencies to found a statewide collaboration in Colorado. Leading this collective group I began to understand how to build stronger nonprofits, engage diverse communities, guide nonprofit growth, and something was right…The social problems still existed but I found a piece to a larger puzzle that leads toward scalable change. Fueled by two silly daughters, an amazing wife, a quirky network, and a lot of Tim Hortons' coffee, I started the Wheelhouse for Nonprofits to provide comprehensive coaching and consulting services for the social sector by working in partnership with school districts, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to scale initiatives and drive change.
