Responsible to ensure the sites had support for the following: Grower Accounting, SAP/IT support and enhancements, packaging supplies, supply demand and quality data analysis. - Project Manager for developing IT system to capture soybean quality data in the field. Responsible for $250k budget, timeline, research, two IT developers, hardware and implementation at 11 sites. - Packaging Supplies Lead, supply & demand forecast to package 23 million units with 20% safety stock. Directed development or review of packaging supplies with; Legal, IT, Procurement/Buyers, Engineers and graphic designers. - Project Manager for transitioning from heat sealed paper bags to sewn open mouth bags. Develop and present finding on Return on Investment (ROI). Coordinate with sales and marketing to conduct test market trial to ensure product acceptance. Engaged with the following groups: capital engineers, packaging engineers, legal, graphic designers, procurement/buyers. Also reduced number of SKU’s that need to be managed and stocked. Ultimate goal of project was to reduce out of date packaging supplies that were non-forming by 50% per year.

Gained multi crop experience working with soybeans. Primary role was to evaluate all aspects of the production process and increase productivity or reduce constraints. Managed all warehouse, shipping and receiving activities with schedulers, carriers and warehouse staff. Ensured SAP, Quality data, Production receipt and non-conforming product were in place to keep finished product moving at 3 million plus unit facility. Managed contract negotiations with farmers for next year’s production.  - Implemented and executed SAP cost management structure for own site and 10 internal sites.  - Managed contracting portfolio for acres, 30% change in geographies and 10% increase in total contracting.  - Redesigned warehouse layout and flow by analyzing historical data and future product demand. - Reviewed the empty packaging supply return process from customers by making 25% efficiency improvement and reduce non-conforming product by 80%. This was executed by training the customers and carriers on a new return process and acceptance criteria.

Field Operations SupervisorResponsibilities included all activities for producing 9,000 acres of hybrid seed corn. 12 full time employees, 35 part-time employees, detasseling crews that managed 500 employees. Activities included: contracting, demand planning, planting schedule, variety placement, detasseling, spraying, quality checks, harvest activities, trucks and pickers. - Managed 12 fulltime direct reports - Responsible for all activities around field production. Focal point for final decision when resources were limited.Plant Operations SupervisorManaged different functional areas and employee as season’s changed during the year.  - Harvest operations: four functional areas, 15 fulltime employees, 10 part-time employees and two crews of 60 employees. Capital project completion and responsible for startup of dryers, greensort and shellers. - Warehouse operations: 4 fulltime employees, 6 part-time employees. Owner of new warehouse startup project, sign off on completion and functionally ready.
