CurrentIn 2001, designed, engineer, organize and manage a state of the art High Definition Television (HDTV) R&D operation for over 34,000 attendees at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) in support of the SIGGRAPH 2001 graphic's conference. Selected from applications worldwide to chair the SIGGRAPH TV program. Successfully managed a budget to transport, house, feed and manage sixteen handpicked professional volunteers from companies including Industrial Light & Magic and Sony Picture Image Works plus also an additional twenty-three student volunteers. Successfully put in place and produced on site HDTV content of the conference activities and streamed it throughout the LACC internal network to 42" plasma screens. Managed over $4.5M worth of hardware and software donations that was shipped in, set up, torn down and shipped out within a ten-day period. Presently I am serving as the Treasurer of the Professional Chapters sub-committee by assisting various professional chapters around the world.

Part of a great team designing the next Operational Imagery System to support the Space Launch System at the Kennedy Space Center. Responsibilities include Imagery Engineering Lead of seven Engineers that provide development, end-user support, project management, systems engineering, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) KSC communications systems, including their supporting environments and platforms. Responsible for operating, maintaining, configuring, de-configuring, integrating, de-integrating, modifying, refurbishing, decommissioning, and disposing of obsolete system hardware and software. Provide documentation supporting the above activities. Subsystems include but not limited to:Operational Television (OTV): Imagery acquisition, processing, distribution, recording, and retention.Photo Optical Control System (POCS): Transport data for control/monitor of cameras.Broadband Cable Distribution System (BCDS): O&M of BCDS including encoders, multiplexers, satellite receivers, transcoders, quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) equipment, fiber transmitters, fiber nodes, power supplies, taps, splitters etc. In addition, head end alignment checks and calibration.Timing and Countdown (T&CD): Range Timing transmission using IEEE 1588 and Countdown using IRIG over Ethernet transmission systems.Presently design lead over the OTV recording and high speed camera subsystems that will be utilized on the Mobile Launch platform, Launch Pad perimeter, and optical tracking systems. Assisted in defining end user requirements, performed market research, inspection/demonstration/test evaluations, Subsystem Requirement documentation, System Design, Procurement specifications, Acceptance test procedures and installation work packages. Utilizing modeling and simulation programs to convert Engineering ProE files to visualization environments verifying camera placement and camera configuration.
