I am a documentary filmmaker + multimedia producer focused on wildlife, conservation, environmental and social issue content. My acclaimed feature documentary “Landfill Harmonic” garnered over 40 festival wins in 250+ festivals (including SXSW Audience Award and AFI Fest Audience Award), and was acquired by HBO. The Oscar-qualifying film tells the heartwarming story of a youth orchestra in Paraguay that plays instruments made entirely from garbage. The film was selected as part of the American Film Showcase, the premier film diplomacy program funded by the U.S. Dept of State and the USC School of Cinematic Arts. I also won the Humanitas Prize for my work on the film.My other films include “Patrol,” made in collaboration with Re:wild, which follows an indigenous group in Nicaragua fighting against illegal cattle ranchers that threaten their survival; “Dani’s Twins,” a short film that follows one of the few quadriplegics to ever give birth to twins; "My Village, My Lobster,” winner of the CINE Golden Eagle for Independent Documentary; and the PBS documentary “120 Days: Undocumented in America.” I recently edited "Niagara Falls for the PBS Series NATURE, as well as “Never Too Late: The Doc Severinsen Story” about the Tonight Show bandleader and world-famous trumpeter Doc Severinsen, directed by “Friends” creator Kevin S. Bright and acquired by AMERICAN MASTERS on PBS. Other editorial credits include two episodes for the HISTORY and VICELAND series “Hunting ISIS."I spent three years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua, hold an M.A. in Film and Video Production from American University, and am a native of Georgia. When I’m not working on films, you can find me camping, hiking, playing soccer or SCUBA diving - or doing pretty much anything in the great outdoors.Specialties: International productions/co-productions, Spanish language and bilingual content, Latin America, International Development, Health and Science, Cinematography, Editing
