Congo Voice is a non-profit organization with a geographic focus within the Ubangi region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (the poorest country on earth) by providing safe housing, education, and medical care for children without families, by providing local affordable education through the university level, and by providing micro financing and mentoring to local entrepreneurs.

Design and development of a new, web based, external facing graphical advertising platform known as APT. I was the senior engineer on the publisher facing component of the platform which allowed 3rd party websites and ad networks to define and classify their ad inventory. I was responsible for the design and implementation of several cross-track features which involved driving design, implementation and integration across as many as 10 different teams both within the larger APT project as well as outside of it. The application consisted of two main interfaces: a complex query tool where salespersons could search for available ad inventory to build a custom proposal; and a spreadsheet like interface where sales and sales support staff could configure ad campaign proposals for customers. I was responsible for the design and development of several components within the presentation layer and UI. (Java 5, Struts, Velocity, JSP, JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, XML, JBoss, Eclipse, CVS, I18n)Design and development of a major feature release for advertising reporting tool. This web based tool reports data to advertisers about their currently running and completed ad campaigns. I had sole responsibility for the architecture and implementation of the presentation layer and the data access layer for all of the new features (3 main screens which grew the applications functionality over 300%).
