Brad heads up HR for both BlueScope's Commercial department and IT department in Australia, which includes a global remit (North America, South Africa, South Korea, Vietnam and Japan).Brad is responsible for leading strategic people and culture initiatives; transforming the employee experience and company culture; talent management; capability development; organisational design; succession and workforce planning; change management and communications; practical and commercial HR and ER advice.While in this role, Brad has established departmental values, a peer to peer reward & recognition program, and a high performance leadership team framework. He has also founded an extended leaders cohort; commenced a trainee program; and led a new framework for career pathing.This role sits on the Commercial Lead Team, the IT Lead Team and the People Lead Team. The role reports directly to the Australian CFO and CIO, and indirectly to the Australian CPO.

During this time, Brad headed up BlueScope's national learning and development department.Brad was responsible for transforming L&D and growing a team. This included accountability for rolling out a new learning experience platform affecting all employees in Australia (>7,000). The role is also responsible for all internal training programs and systems.Brad also assisted in the delivery of (a) the Employee Experience Strategy (including globally) that he developed and (b) an upstander intervention program that he co-created. He also created a leader led program aligning people to purpose.This role sits on the ASP People Lead Team and reports directly to the Australian CPO.

Brad advised the business nationally on all Employee Relations issues. He worked closely with Managers and Executives to achieve legal, practical and commercially viable solutions for the business.The role included ownership of all employee claims and litigious ER matters.Brad developed a national:- Employee Experience Strategic Plan; and - Employee Relations Strategy, which was leveraged globally.This role sits on the ASP People Lead Team and reports directly to the Australian CPO.

Brad advised the business nationally on all areas of employment law and strategy.Brad worked closely with Managers and Executives to achieve legal, practical and commercially viable solutions for the business.Brad also:- conducted group training and individual coaching on employment and industrial relations issues;- negotiated an enterprise agreement covering several hundred employees; - represented BlueScope in Fair Work Commission conciliations and Conferences; - led compliance projects;- conducted numerous workplace investigations; and- drafted contracts, policies and procedures.
