Handle all aspects of production and marketing for the grant-funded public radio module The Academic Minute. Responsible for researching, vetting, and approaching university-based researchers concerning participation, as well as maintaining relationships with university media relations personnel (more than 230 schools) to facilitate regular segments from their professors. Created and manage The Academic Minute's social media accounts and designed paid advertising campaigns that appeared on Facebook, LinkedIn, MotherJones.com, and ScientificAmerican.com. Created a database to collect data about each segment that can be used to analyze long-term patterns and inform adjustments to processes over more than 900 segments. Work closely with WAMC's grant coordinator to provide data to the Newman's Own Foundation that supports the continuation of NOF's funding of The Academic Minute.

Delivered classroom instruction based on state and district standards. Created lessonsplans designed to foster critical thinking and impress upon students the importance andrelevance of history in today’s world. Courses taught include: American Government, World History, AP World History, AP U.S. History.

Oversaw approximately ninety students per semester, supervised discussion sectionsas well as designed and graded all materials that determined the students’ final grades.Additional responsibilities included grading tests and papers for a course taught byNobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

The Florida News Network was a cooperative comprised of up to eleven televisionstations. The network coordinator was responsible for oversight of the network’sTallahassee Capitol Bureau which generated daily stories focusing on legislative andgovernmental activities. As operational head of the network, the coordinator exercisededitorial control of daily satellite feeds and assured adherence to the network’s annualoperating budget. The position involved the production of one-hour special programsdesigned to promote hurricane preparedness throughout Florida.

Duties as assistant coordinator involved oversight of network activities on nights andweekends. This included the coordination of daily satellite feeds with multiple liveelements, tracking affiliate satellite usage for billing purposes and purchasing additionalsatellite paths when needed. On several occasions duties required the assistantcoordinator to serve as a field producer to coordinate the on-site activities of memberstations during major news events.

Position worked directly with the managing editor to filter information that flowed intothe newsroom from multiple sources. Responsibilities involved evaluating news tipsfrom viewers, obtaining information from state and municipal agencies, andcommunicating incoming information to producers and reporters for live broadcasts.
