Today, the topic of mental health still has an uncomfortable stigma around it, and isn’t as open of a conversation as it should be - especially when trying to balance personal and professional life. We tend to live alone in our own worlds, and struggle/recover on our own.After realizing how much of an impact the conversation can have, I wanted a place where others could open up and share their own personal stories of dealing with mental health issues. In my volunteer position as Creative Director for the marketing campaign at the Abbotsford Agrifair, my marketing and design skills were proven when I was tasked to develop the creative marketing direction for the Abbotsford Agrifair’s 2017 event. My goal was to develop and implement an effective communication strategy to drive awareness and increase overall attendance. In my position I successfully:• Lead the development, design and implementation of an entirely new multi-platform marketing campaign for its 2017 event• Worked with multiple internal stakeholders including the board of directors and sponsors• Increased social media presence Coincidentally, the 2017 event was one of the Agrifair’s most successful years in terms of both attendance and profit, in all its 107 year history.

In my position as a Logistics Manager in the Shipping - Receiving Department, I was responsible for receiving inventory, handling packaging slips and waybills, data management, transporting product within building, forklift/ lift truck operation, while utilizing Oracle Retail Distribution Management Software and RFID to manage the entirety of inventory and logistics operations.
