CurrentOversees all civilian programs offered to the citizens of Dawson County designed to strengthen the relationships between county residents and the deputies of the Sheriff's office. Ongoing and annual programs include the Citizen Law Enforcement Academy, Civilian/ Women's Firearms Range Days, and Neighborhood Watch. Program implementation requires a high level of relationship development with community leaders and business owners, overseeing programs from conception to implementation, clear communication with command staff as well as citizens, and a personable demeanor that helps to promote the priorities of the Sheriff's Office.Certified instructor in a range of disciplines for the agency, including: Taser, GPSTC Firearms, and GPSTC Use of Force, among other certifications obtained throughout over 1,700 hours of training through GA Post.Conducts agency recruitment fairs and over 40 background investigations annually throughout the hiring process. Serves as agency quartermaster. Developed and programmed an inventory tracking system utilizing a QR code that feeds into Google Suite, encouraging the streamlining of the issuance and tracking of all agency-owned equipment to staff. Orders and inventories equipment to include all weapons, serialized items, and uniforms.
