I worked as a full-time freelancer for three years. While freelancing I designed everything from logos to magazines to packaging, I helped develop apps and designed websites, I worked with friends and won over clients. While freelancing I learned a lot about managing clients and their expectations, producing quality work efficiently, and the importance of.

I managed a team of ten designers in a very fast-paced and stressful environment. I worked very closely with copy writers, business owners, and developers to ensure that our projects were the best they could be. I presented the work my team and I produced to directors and executives several times a week. I did a lot to build unity on my team and keep them.

At Xango I was able to push myself creatively and meet tough time lines to get some really good work out. I worked on a variety of print projects including several packaging jobs, multiple issues of XANGO’s quarterly magazine, and signage for many different events. I was part of a tight-knit team that taught me the importance of collaboration and friendship.

At FranklinCovey I worked on a wide range of ecommerce projects, from designing numerous weekly emails, to a full site redesign, and everything in between. I was responsible for setting and maintaining brand standards and worked on several seasonal campaigns that received national and international exposure. As a creative manager, I was over 3 designers.

A small shop with a lot of heart. I handled a variety of design projects for local, national, and international clients. While bidding out jobs and working directly with vendors and clients was a lot to take on (right out of school?), I got the chance to build relationships and learn a lot about the business. I also got pretty good at ping pong.

My first taste of actual real life experience. I did work for some really cool clients, attended my first press check, became a master of the X-acto knife, and learned that spray mount can ruin a fresh pair of Dunks if your not careful.
