By 17, my summer breaks were often spent in the shop wiring large electrical panels for Water Treatment Facilities. Back then I did not see the value in the skills I was learning, but it has certainly created a knowledge platform that has served me well to this day. After graduating college with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, I moved up into an Engineer role where I began PLC programming, writing technical documentation, managing projects, and much more. This real would experience made me realize the importance of creating value and being useful in the workplace. This has taught me to focus on quality over quantity, and maximizing productivity. Let's face it, if an employee isn't useful or productive, they get replaced. I hope to use my engineering skills to start a business of my own one day and start creating value in places that it lacks.
