**In October 2004, LESCO, INC. split into two entities – Turf Care Supply Corporation and John Deere Landscapes.Department Supervisor, Hatfield, MA (October 2002 – October 2004)• Developed grass seed branch in Hatfield for the first time in company’s history. • Developed site safety program that incorporated weekly safety meetings, monthly newsletters, and hands-on training, taking the instructors out of the classroom and onto the plant floor where the associates better grasped the concept of what was being taught.• Partnered with The Maryland Department of Agriculture to bring Maryland-certified sod grass seed blending to the Hatfield site. • Became proficient with computer system at the facility, including using Microsoft Excel for reliability tracking, headcount and labor reporting, along with data entry using our AS-400 system for inventory control, processing production runs, etc.• Received 2nd Promotion to Department Supervisor’s position in the fertilizer department as well as in the grass seed department.• Responsible for hiring and on-boarding all new associates (production line, leads, and supervisors) for the Westfield and Hatfield site.
