Day-to-day responsibilities initially included processing criminal offenders, obtaining fingerprints and collecting DNA when necessary. We are also the central location responsible for registering and updating Megan's Law Offenders. Our duties expanded in 2017 when we were tasked managing the Washington County DUI Program. This included conducting CRN evaluations on all DUI offenders in Washington County as well as scheduling and managing the Alcohol Highway Safety School classes that were conducted weekly. I worked closely with the Chief Probation Officer and the Booking Center Manager to develop appropriate scheduling platforms for the program. Duties expanded again in 2018 when a Drug Testing Unit was established. This unit is tasked with operating a chemical analyzer and processing drug tests for several departments within Washington County. Again, I worked closely with the Chief Probation Officer and Booking Center Manager to develop strategies for collecting and processing the samples to be tested. This included creating inventory management for the on-hand chemicals, chain-of-custody compliance, as well as operating the chemical analyzer.
