Traveled domestically as engineering consultant on behalf of company to shipyard contractor for the construction of a new dredge.Responsible for the final quality control and quality assurance verification of all engineering deliverables to include: hydrographic survey data collection, land survey data collection, bathymetry maps, topography maps, cross sections, volume calculations, daily construction reports, and daily dredge production analysis. Confirming presentation of survey data meets or exceeds project specifications or EM 1110-2-1003. Responsible to assist in the development of the engineering project layout, dredge cut operational plans, disposal operational plans, construction staking, pipeline positioning and status tracking, the preparation of submittals in accordance with client’s contractual requirements, and the quality assurance for each phase of work while assisting the Project Engineer. Responsible for the installation, operational status, quality control and quality assurance checks, and sensor redundancy on the guidance systems for the world’s first Articulated Tug/Barge Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge Ellis Island, tugs, and any other equipment on site that requires positioning tracking.Responsible for the engineering oversight, training, mentoring, and safety orientations for all engineers on site.Support the Ellis Island throughout all project sequences. Role extended to precursory product procurement for guidance systems.Regularly communicated shop drawings and technical revisions with shipyard contractor.Helped engineering R&D team prototype and test new technologies in the office and field.Led team to review and expand engineer department's STOP work safety program.

Traveled domestically to provide engineering support for coastal construction and dredging.Responsible for the daily quality control quality assurance checks of the hydrographic survey systems, land survey equipment, dredge guidance systems, positioning information systems on hopper dredges, material barges, and/or spill barges.Responsible for carrying out multi-beam hydrographic surveys, single beam hydrographic surveys, and land surveys in support of the dredge and support equipment on beach fill, land reclamation, channel maintenance, and capital improvement projects. Responsible for the preparation of daily dredge production reports; daily construction progress reports, and the preparation of submittals in accordance with client’s contractual requirements.Developed programs in excel VBA to partially automate report preparation.Provided support to salvage teams, CSD and hopper dredges, and mobilization operations.Extensive experience using AutoCAD LT, Excel, Hypack, and empoying control engineering.
