Conducted thorough risk assessments before jobs, in-line with regulations.• Maintained excellent colleague relationships by providing assistance and support during drainage maintenance and repairs.• I started my career with AMEY as an apprentice operative and over 3 1/2 years built my way up to a full operative by completing a 2 year apprenticeship in sewerage operations and maintenance.• When I was at AMEY I was on the civil side of operations which put me on the frontline of the drainage industry but ultimately becoming a pipe layer. We carried out all different type of jobs daily which included deep excavations from 1m - 7m deep, then taking out the pipe repair that needed to take place.Once the pipe repair took place we then backfilled to ground level to make sure it was correct and ready for tarmacing. I also carried out jobs such as gully changing, trap replacements and reinstating which consisted of flagging & kerb fitting etc.

Carried out essential tasks to improve day-to-day operations.• I worked as a track operative for around two years doing differenttype of jobs which included track removal, catchpit repairs and general maintenance that needed to take place. Every shift I was working within a different team learning new skills each day.• I was required to work right across the country on a shift pattern that included bank holidays and weekends.
