The CD is responsible for field producing photo and video shoots for multiple clients within the healthcare industry. Additional duties include: creative brief writing, concept, script-writing, producing, directing, editing video projects, and leading initiatives to translate client needs into dynamic web-design.Also, while leading the creative team, the CD is in charge of providing strategic direction to designers and production staff, ongoing client relations, idea pitches, design presentations, and UX/UI site audits.

As a CSM, I was in charge of project management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of all project assets. Additional tasks were: continuous collaboration with integrated marketing team, scheduling, talent relations. I made the leap of faith to be one of the founding members of a first-of-its-kind digital sports network. A kind of "ESPN for millenials" as it was once described to me. It was an incredibly valuable experience to me, both personally and professionally. While there, in Chicago, I helped manage a team of talented editors as we broadcast 8+ hours of live sports content every night. I also edited, wrote, and post-produced features, promos, and high-end show opens.

I joined the CSN family as an editor and immediately began cutting long and short form stories covering DC Metro area sports. While there, I became certified proficient on multiple Avid systems, Final Cut Pro and Leitch Newsflash. I continued to grow as a storyteller and worked to evolve my position to include writing and producing (and editing) feature stories, specialty show opens, and show segments. I was honored to win 7 Capital Area Emmy Awards for my work, with a nomination for an 8th.

While at WMAR, I edited, both long and short form, news stories and packages for 3 daily news broadcasts.

While still employed in Broadcast Television, I wanted to branch out a little. I was interested in seeing how things work in the Ad World, so I pursued an internship with a DC-based Ad agency. The fine people at Adworks welcomed me in as a research intern. While there, my position mainly entailed compiling extensive data on advertising trends and helping translate that information to clients through spreadsheets. Interesting work. And very detailed. I was also able to sit in on creative meetings, interact daily with account managers and organize the inter-office newsletter. All-in-all, it was valuable work experience.
