As part of the diagnostics development group I designed, developed and integrated a physical memory test module that runs under Windows PE. Lead diagnostic engineer on all Dell PowerEdge blade and sled servers. Use Microsoft Visual Studio for code source control via TFS, also for C/C++ code development and debug on target systems. Support of and design of the diagnostic group’s lab network. Created Perl server script that manages networked target systems in support of automated testing of Windows based diagnostics test modules. Created a Python script for target lab systems that allow local console testing control as well as remote control from the Perl server. Created Python scripts and Linux shared libraries that allow access to the output of Windows based test modules and built in ePSA diagnostic test modules. Configured a Linux server using Fedora to support target systems booting using Legacy and UEFI PXE boot, a Samba server as well as the control of Python automated test scripts.

Developed boot code for service processor and IOP/VIOP/HSP processor cards. Maintained and upgraded service processor Unix System V/BSD hybrid to use newer tape and disk devices. Developed distribution and manufacturing tools for initial SW load.Worked in kernel development group. Designed and developed entire IO communication control path from ConvexOS to the IO processor operating system (EGOS) controlling peripheral devices. Developed EPROM based boot code for all IO processors in support of booting the EGOS SW used as a platform for all ConvexOS device drivers. Developed the IO processor OS, called EGOS, that allowed device interrupts to be related to SW packages for device drivers. Worked in SW distribution and manufacturing to automate the creation of SW release tapes. Integrated special peripheral controllers to allow banks of tape drives to be used in SW distribution with a tape generation process sequence integrated with a document pull system based on a remote controlled carousel system.Worked in custom system engineering. Developed systems with direct customer input on system features.
