CurrentResponsibilitiesConduct negotiations with venues and book event space, arrange food & beverage, order supplies and audiovisual equipment, make travel arrangements, produce event signs, and ensure appropriate décor.Serve as the primary liaison with vendors on event-related matters.Gather information on each project to achieve quality event productions.Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help make decisions about event possibilities.Create and revise schedules and room layouts for each event.Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.Research, secure and coordinate logistics of keynote speakers and seminar presenters.Prepare event marketing and promotional material, including print and electronic.Manage on-site production and clean-up for events as necessary.Develop and manage the overall event budget and track event finances, including cheque requests, invoicing, reporting and final statements.
