I am a full stack web developer and grammy-nominated orchestral percussionist. I have spent my life chasing perfection; whether it be on the concert hall stage, optimizing a web app, or in my morning cup of coffee. Recently, I discovered the world of software development and was instantly hooked! Coding is in many ways like music. As a percussionist I am constantly dialing in my equipment, exploring new and creative ways to play things, and refining my technique and musicianship. I hone in on the details while keeping the bigger picture in mind, something I apply when I write code. In an orchestra, the percussion section is a team and we cannot deliver a polished product without good teamwork, camaraderie, and attention to detail. As part of a development team I can do my part all while helping everyone move forward as a unit.
