After nearly 10 years at APC (Schneider Electric) I joined LDP to further my career in the design-build data center market. LDP has allowed me to grow my knowledge and experience as the company has been called on to assist with data center design and construction from small enterprise to large scale Tier 4 colo providers. LDP has enjoyed double digit growth for over a decade as the company is continually growing into new regions. As a Regional Director for LDP I assist the southern California team with detecting, managing and implementing data center projects. In a region that has been dominated by outsourcing into the cloud and colo space, we have gained significant strength by helping our customer adopt and understand their needs for the hybrid cloud, colo and onsite model. It is the understanding of the data center evolution that has placed LDP at the top of the list of valued consultants.

As a District Manager I assist customers with designing and implementing data center infrastructure. This consists of racks, UPS, cooling systems, power distribution, cabling, services and management for the data center environment. I work with the customer, contractor, and/or consultants to design a data center that fits their needs and budget. I am involved with at least 60 data center projects per year.I have nearly 10 years experience in the data center environment. My former roles at APC and UL have helped me become knowledgeable about all the supporting hardware and technology in the data center.

As a Field Service Engineer I was responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing UPS systems. I eventually became team leader for the western region and was responsible for all large system installations in the territory. As a Power Quality Engineer, I was responsible for troubleshooting and making recommendations for the customer's electrical network. This included grounding and bonding, electrical capacity and growth surveys, mapping the electrical distribution, and making recommendations for a more reliable/available data center.

As an engineer with UL I was responsible for product standards and compliance. I performed compliance testing for switch gear, contactors, relays, and UPS systems. My team was responsible for testing the equipment to the applicable standard and updating the customer's UL file with the report and test data. I was also responsible for writing/editing UL standards.And yes, we got to blow things up.
