• Managed a team of 41 over 2 shifts who picked and shipped direct sales orders to the western USA. Set clear, achievable goals and the team was able to meet them. An elevated same day shipping % was the main goal and the team went from 92.7% to 98.0% (with designs to achieve 99.0% in 2019) and held it at 98.0% for the last 15 months. The cut-off time of orders shipped same day was pushed later in the day from 11am to 3:30pm as well. • Oversaw a 3PL that fulfilled the eastern USA’s orders. Over 1.4 million containers shipped annually from two locations. Performed work audits of their operation to insure they were meeting Nu Skin standards and implemented process improvements to increase throughput.• Implemented over 265 unique Continuous Process Improvements using Lean/5S principles over 15 months to improve productivity, communication and redundancy of the systems in the area. Resulted in an increase of the maximum orders processed in one day from 6610 to 9523 (44%).• Implemented several cost saving initiatives for packaging and shipping costs. Encouraged employees to find ways of reusing supplies or materials that would otherwise be thrown away (gaylords, corrugate boxes) and to find other uses of items in storage (totes, tape machines). • Redesigned box sizes to reduce DIM shipping charges from UPS/FedEx/USPS. Knowledge of how these companies calculate the DIM charges and can optimize boxes to minimize DIM charges.• Led trainings in Excel ranging from the basics to advanced VBA programming for coworkers.• Refined volume forecasts to accurately predict volumes on given days and to staff appropriately. Discovered a trend in pieces/order that caused shipping delays and predicted when this would happen so the team could be staffed appropriately. • Visual Workplace – Numerous areas and products in the shipping department were labeled, color coded and shadow boards created. • Lead the Continuous Process Improvement teams for US Order Fulfillment, Logistics and Product Assembly in the distribution center. • Implemented and maintained a Labor Management System called ProTrack. Maintained the standards (pieces/hour) that the teams were held to. Continually updated the standards as production requirements changed.• DCX - requested features and improvements and tested them to make sure they were implemented correctly. Expert in system settings and knew the limitations of the software.• Used VBA to take data from SAP, ProTrack and DCX and generate reports, format data and email notifications. Created GUIs to assist in data collection and response standardization.• Project Manager for the US AgeLOC Me product line. Scope included designing process flow, software enhancements for DCX and mechanical installation (conveyor, PLC, Pick-To-Light). • Redesigned the layout of the products on the Pick-To-Light shelves to put the most frequently picked items at the start of the line. Balanced several variables to produce the optimal layout and iterated as new products came out and product volume shifted.• Designed and built RFID shielded tunnel to reduce misreads in Order Fulfillment.

• Systems Engineer: Supported the LN-100 Inertial Navigation product line by tracking failures and analyzing data to evaluate gyroscopes, accelerometers, circuit cards, test equipment, test cables and problems in test station software. Performed correlations between system performance and instruments.• Systems Engineer: Assisted in designing and building a one axis rate table with temperature control. Used to troubleshoot failing Inertial Measurement Units.• Systems Engineer: Tracked failures and found root cause for several problems on the LN-93 Inertial Navigation Unit sensor assembly.• Systems Engineer: Used VBA to write multiple complex macros in Excel to automate data reduction, analyze test data and mine data. Identified and fixed problematic trends and implemented Statistical Process Control.• Systems Engineer: Introduced to Lean / Six Sigma• Intern: Designed a test to measure the breakaway torque on a load bearing spindle in a gimbaled navigation unit. Doing this discovered supplier quality issues.• Intern: Designed and built a device to hold UV light pipe the proper distance away from the surface to cure UV epoxy on sensitive fiber optic gyros.
