My Professional Roofing and Building Envelope career began randomly many years ago at the fresh age of 19. That is when I got a summer job between college semesters working for a local commercial roofing contractor. I then spent the next four years of life pursuing my degree in Construction Engineering Technology during the Fall/Winter/Spring months while sweating in the hot sun installing new roofing systems during the summers. Upon graduation from college in December of 2011, life again led me back to that local roofing contractor where I went to work full time and eventually became the company's Operations Manager in charge of construction activities. While serving in that role, I had the pleasure of developing an extensive knowledge base pertaining to the roofing and construction industry that I carry with me to this day.From commercial roofing to Cushing Terrell, my journey from the construction side of the industry to the A&E world happened in early 2016. Since joining Cushing Terrell, I have leaned heavily on my commercial roofing background to further develop an understanding of all aspects of a building's envelope design. I work closely with my fellow Architects and Engineers at Cushing Terrell to ensure our building's exterior wall cladding systems, sub grade waterproofing and damp proofing systems, thermal insulation systems, and air barrier/vapor barrier systems are appropriately incorporated into our firm's buildings.
