I have had a job most of my life, and have experience in many fields! Starting at thirteen years old I helped manage a popular Team Roping event, at fifteen I worked in landscaping at Greenwood Dental, and at sixteen I worked as a team member at Café Zupa’s as well as starting a new job with Roots Landscaping. At seventeen I got a job at Discount Tire as a tire technician and worked in a team environment. I was in charge of meeting customers' expectations of a quick, reliable, and professional service while being able to communicate quickly and effectively with other team members and managers, team work being central to the process. I worked at Discount Tire until I was eighteen and left on a two-year humanitarian service in Northern Argentina. In Argentina, I was in charge of ten to twenty young adults as their team leader. Often times those who I was in charge of lived up to six hours away, spoke different languages, and did not know the areas they were working in. My job as a team leader was to make sure all safety, emotional, and work-related problems were addressed. A deep understanding and ability to communicate in Spanish one-hundred percent of the time was needed, and I am now bilingual. I was able to work over large areas without supervision in an efficient manner while maintaining and helping the rest of my assigned group. Teamwork was very necessary along with traveling between provinces and cities frequently to ensure that all was well with other volunteers under my leadership.Returning home from Argentina I became a sales representative at Karl Malone Powersports, again working in a team setting selling Powersports vehicles including motorcycles, four-wheelers, UTVs, wave runners, and meeting customer expectations. Both receiving and taking calls were a large part of my day, along with making appointments and helping customers who walked into the showroom floor. Gaining sales, communication, teamwork, creative problem solving, and follow-up skills as a result of my employment are some of the strengths I learned by working there.Between spring and fall semesters as an International Business Major I worked as a team leader at Drive Fulfillment and my responsibilities included managing a team of five to ten people entirely in Spanish, communicating with managers and the owners of the company, and creative problem solving. As a current International Business Major with a double minor in Spanish and Finance, I aim to work for a company where I can use my problem solving, Spanish, and sales skills to be an asset to their team environment.
