Our organization works to increase certified computer science teachers, contributing to the computer science talent base, particularly in underserved areas.

I founded Octavian Technology Group with a focus on:• Helping clients manage the ever-changing technology landscape through data organization, infrastructure support, and fractional CIO services.• Creating a greater level of awareness of the power of data science techniques, machine learning, and new technologies to build value for our clients.• Forming a team of dedicated employees involved in meaningful, fun, and challenging work who thrive on finding new ways to solve problems. Innovation on behalf of our clients and community is promoted and encouraged!Prior to founding OTC, I spent 27 years working in the information technology and services industry. Most recently, I worked as the CEO of SafeNet consulting, where I was pleased with our focus on giving back to fellow organizations in the community. With that experience, I achieved one of my proudest accomplishments to date: founding and continuing the support of Code the Way. Code the Way is a nonprofit in its third year, with a focus on providing high-quality computer science education and real-world job experience to high school students. The students gain valuable insight into the possibilities of technology while simultaneously serving fellow nonprofits with software development that they could otherwise not afford. When the students get to college, they're prepared as junior developers.

During my time at SafeNet, we were one of the fasted growing companies in the area for four years in a row. We were also voted one of the Best Places to Work 3 out of 4 years. I simultaneously oversaw the Milwaukee and Minneapolis offices during part of my tenure, managing a cohesive strategy and plan across multiple locations. We were able to increase our revenue from $1 million to $10 million between the years of 2010-2015, growing our team from 6 consultants to 62.
