During my internship, I supported the Event Logistics Team in planning the Cannabis Capital Conference in Chicago. I facilitated outreach to potential media partners, created promotional graphics for speakers and sponsors, and researched venue options for private dinners. On the day of the conference, I coordinated with speakers to ensure they were on the correct stage and assisted with both set-up and tear-down of the venue. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the essential tasks involved in organizing a large-scale conference.

St. Claire Shores

I led the waitstaff team for events held on the Ovation and Infinity yachts, overseeing a variety of occasions including weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events with guest lists ranging from 50 to 300 attendees. My responsibilities included ensuring the yachts were immaculate prior to guest arrival and shadowing the event manager during weddings to learn effective communication with the bride and groom. I coordinated the event timeline, determining the optimal moments for dinner and dessert service. Additionally, I maintained cleanliness before and after each shift and ensured that all waitstaff were clear on their tasks for every event.

I led a group of 40 kids during the summer through different tasks everyday. Our end goal was to put on a production of Alice in Wonderland. I was in charge of making sure the kids were on task during dance class and choir. I planned games each day for the kids to play during break time.

I managed parties by decorating and displaying the food in a timely manner. I decorated the room the way the party parents wanted. I brought out the food at the exact time the parents asked. I also worked the front counter checking people in during the whole party. The parties ranged from 20-60 guests. I worked directly with the parents to ensure the party was running smoothly.
