Air Traffic Management (ATM) professional with 40 years’ experience. Started working as an Air Traffic Controller then moving to a Project Manager role in real time simulation and validation. Within EUROCONTROL assumed leading roles in creating new concepts of operation with multiple stakeholders and consequently developing operational, system and performance requirements. Responsible as a Programme Manager for coordinating the European deployment of ATC tools working closely with States and ANSPs to achieve this objective. Became Project Manager for Free Route Airspace, a Network Manager Strategic project, which was part of the Single European Sky (SES) Pilot Common Project initiative. Now Operational Lead in the development of a new European Concept of Operations for Higher Airspace and new users, notably commercial space operations, high altitude long endurance platforms, supersonic and hypersonic aircraft. This activity is under the SESAR European Higher Airspace Operations (ECHO) project which is led by EUROCONTROL with the participation of consortium members from the aviation community and future higher airspace users.
