Responsible for designing new art for labels, evaluating incoming art files and preparing them for print production. This includes separation of colors for plates, photo optimization and compositing, applying appropriate trap and distortion factors, and output to platemaking equipment. Execution of production artist tasks within internal packaging workflow system for incoming product labels. I developed standard operating procedures for my department. These S.O.Ps cover Prepress Techniques, Flexo CTP File Setup, and Proper use of ESKO’s Automation Engine RIP Tickets. I also implemented a task-based creative workflow within Basecamp software for all incoming creative design projects; this insured retention and organization of information across all creative projects.
