Philanthropy to the organization has seen a cumulative annual growth rate of over 45% in the last 5 years.I have had the privilege of leading our philanthropy efforts to now include a robust direct mail program, direct mail acquisition program, and major and planned giving programs.We have also launched our organization’s first comprehensive campaign in 20 years.I led the organization’s philanthropy, marketing, and government relations efforts in support of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. More than 10,000 people were in attendance to honor and celebrate our WWII and D-Day veterans. The Vice President of the United States was in attendance and offered the keynote address. I served as the organization’s chief political liaison working with the White House and Secret Service, two cabinet secretaries, Senator Mark Warner and his staff, multiple Members of Congress, and state Senators and Delegates. My team was responsible for raising more than $1 million in support of the event which included an aerial tribute of 24 planes including vintage aircraft and current DoD assets.
