Teach volunteers the basics of the ring, the layout of the arena, what assets need to be used, and what to do in case of an emergency. Additionlay, I would help maintain a safe environment for both the riders and the spectators, by making sure spectators do not enter the ring, hang on the fences, or have any objects that could scare the horse (i.e. balloons). Additionally, I would also assist in any sort of medical aid, if the need rises.
