I had undertaken a placement at AMPAM as part of my UQ course. I was assigned to my supervisor who was researching into methods to manufacture porous metallic scaffolds for biomedical uses. I had 10 hours of practical work with my supervisor spread throughout the duration of my placement, and the rest of the time was spent researching around the topic for existing methods. I was required to write a thesis on the project at the end of my placement.During this time I've gained an insight into industrial research, as well as knowledge of research methodology.
