My responsibilities included: - Working with logistics staff to pack-in/out gear and food for wilderness trips. - Providing a high level of customer service for all participants. - Safely driving a 15-passenger van pulling a loaded trailer. - Steering a 10 person Voyageur canoe.- Leading group sizes from 10-30 participants on extended camping trips.- Working with participants of different ages, backgrounds and abilities. Including people with cognitive and physical disabilities. - Creating and implementing lessons and activities to help give participants a greater appreciation for the natural world.

Taught/created programs that are developed to: - Support district academic goals- Increase student's environmental background knowledge- Provide authentic reading, writing, and creative outlet opportunities- Motivate students through hands-on experiences- Develop transferable interpersonal and leadership skills- Incorporate partners such as National Park Service, DNR, St. Paul Parks and Rec and others to offer varied and rich activities. - Model and encourage positive behaviors when engaging in outdoor activities.

My responsibilities included: - Planning, pre-arrival packing, and leadership of canoe and sea kayak trips to the BWCAW, Quetico and Split Rock Lighthouse. - Serving as a role model for students and peers: displaying maturity, responsibility, flexibility, enthusiasm and sound judgement. - Leading wilderness trips that incorporate education, sound wilderness judgement and adventure. - Executing and teaching all skills specific to wilderness programs- Teaching outdoor, cultural history and nature-themed activities to people of all ages, including campers, family members (pre-school to grandparents) and youth groups.

My responsibilities included: - Giving high quality lessons to snowboarders of all abilities. - Assessing level of experience and putting snowboarders into appropriate groups for lessons. - Taking reservations and managing group sizes to allow for successful lessons. - Being in charge of scheduling and managing 15-20 snowboard and ski instructors. - Working register and logging finances on a daily basis.- Training in new snowboard instructors.
