Skylight is a digital government consultancy driven by making government work in a digital world through design, technology, and procurement.I use data to drive smart solutions for service delivery and problem-solving.Currently, I'm the data science lead for our project with the State of Connecticut Office of Early Childhood project. Our team is dedicated to building a unified data collection, integration, and analysis platform to benefit childhood education and care in CT. My work includes:- Full stack development of the ECE Reporter software system, a unified collection tool built on React, Node.js, and an Express Server- Leading data science and engineering initiatives, including ETL management/sanitizing of collected data, loading to analysis systems, and publishing for the client- Performing ad hoc data science analyses upon client request, including substantial Python development and analysis; notable work includes curation and integration of census data with client data for analysis identifying unmet childcare needs, developing customized demand metrics to estimate true childcare needs, and integrity constraint verification / cleaning by rule filtering for outlier analysis- Developing and maintaining visualization dashboards that present summary and granular/filtered views of collected data using Apache Superset- Database administration and maintenance- Cloud infrastructure care of AWS deployed resources, in particular pipeline alerts, Cloudwatch monitoring, and logging- Leading and supporting agile best practices on a fast-moving data and software team, including scrum rituals- Working with the client to identify opportunities for data-driven solutions to deliver valuable insight, including identifying areas for improvement

I worked as a Speech and Debate coach for my high school's three-time state champion competitive forensics team. I coach daily practices, assist with fundraising and budget management, and judge weekly tournaments while helping mentor the students on my team in developing their analytical and communications skills. I've coached State Champions and Semifinalists, as well as National Finalists and Quarterfinalists, in a variety of debate events.

I worked as a research and programming intern for the world's largest video-game development company. I worked on anti-cheat and cheat-detection software to help increase game security for Activision's online platform for the Call of Duty franchise. I combined insights from topology and real analysis with principles of machine learning to create a python system that detected image artifacts left in player game screens by attempts to hack or cheat.
